Top 5 activities in Boracay

OBS! DANSK VERSION I BUNDEN

As you might know, activities is usually pretty pricey in tourist areas across the world. Due to the prices you usually always have to pick one or two of the all the activities.. Here's what you should choose..

The prices depends on which city you're visiting. Having traveled lot around the Caribbean I noticed the difference in prices, when I arrived to the Philippines. Prior to your arrival in Boracay, you quickly notice the cheap and reasonable prices for both hotels and transportation. When you do arrive you notice that food, drinks and of course the water and land activities are affordable too.

There is so many things to  do and to choose from - and so many things to see. I stayed on the Island for 10 days and had plenty of time to explore it.

Here is a top 5 list of the different activities we tried - which are indeed worth mentioning!

 1. ATV and beach visit In Boracay

There are so many beautiful beaches, and about none of them look alike.

The main beach, "White beach" is amazing. It has perfectly white soft sand and is so different from the beaches near our hotel and the private one we visited during this activity.

When you've payed for the trip, you plan to get picked up from your hotel or from White Beach. When they pick you up, you drive with all the other people to the ATV spot. After a short briefing on do's and dont's - they put you into small teams with one leading manager.

The ride is so much fun but can be pretty difficult - especially if you haven't tried driving an ATV particurlarly on off road. During the ride, you pass by a stunning private beach where you get to park the ATV and enjoy the beach for about 20 minutes. My husband & I were so lucky that we got the beach for ourselves. The ride then continues back to where you began.

The whole trip lasts for less than 2 hours and the 20 minutes on the beach (Puka beach) was totally worth every scream I made driving that ATV!

2. Zipline

I've tried one zipline before in Las Vegas, which almost killed me! Or at least that was how i felt. But I love to challenge myself, and if you do too - this is a must! My friend and I decided to try this one out.

The zipline is placed within the property of Fairways and Bluewater newcoast Hotel, which is the hotel we stayed at for the whole trip. However the zipline is open for everyone. The hotel has shuttles that takes you around for their hotel guest.

We took the hotel shuttle to the zipline. The ride starts by taking an open cable car up to a very high spot in the mountains. When you arrivethey tie you up so that you lay with your head down on your stomack.(see picture below)

Its an incredible view over the beach, palmtreees and the enourmous property. The ride last for about 1 minute but you get to enjoy the view. I would definitely do it again!

3. Jetski

Jetski is like always among most expensive things to try wherever you go! Even in the Philippines the price were high compared to all the other water sport activities - but still affordable! You get sailed out with a boat from the beach shore to a floating station where you access all the other activities.  We took one Jetski and switched on the water so that we both got to try to drive it. It was an awesome experience and terrifying at the same time. The waves were so tall and the water so deep -  but luckily we got out alive. As soon as we learned to manage and control the jetski, it was so fun!

 4. Parasailing

Want to enjoy the view of the whole Island of Boracay? Parasailing is the answer. The floating station has Boats that offers Parasailing too. Since my husband and my friend's husband both are scared of heights, again we tried the Parasailing together. We reached at 100m up in the air and had a stunning view of the Island. The most important thing is to remember not to look down. We did, a couple of times and you get scared as hell, realizing how high up you are. But its a long ride, its beautiful and a must try!

5. Bananaboat

Bananaboat is a very fun activity - especially traveling as a group or at least trying as a group. We were four people trying together and had a great time! This was actually the first thing we tried in Boracay, and maybe also the one thing that gave us the courage to continue trying. The banana boat is shaped as a banana. You get to sit next and behind each other- all holding a handler made of fabric and trying your best not to fall off.. If you've tried enough you'll know, cause your hands and arms will be sour for days!

3. Jetski

4. Parasailing

Vil du nyde udsigten over hele Boracay?
